PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous alignment of a liquid crystal and light leakage and to improve the image quality of a liquid crystal display device in a color filter substrate and a thin film transistor substrate for the liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the color filter substrate, black matrixes 210 are formed on a substrate 200, a plurality of color filters (R, G and B) having flat central parts and edge parts having thickness smaller than the thickness of the central parts and positioned on the black matrixes are formed on the substrate 200 and the black matrixes 210, and a common electrode 230 is formed on the plurality of color filters. By forming the color filters in this way, the thickness of the edge parts of the color filters can be reduced and the step at the edge part can be minimized. Thereby, the erroneous alignment of the liquid crystal and light leakage can be prevented. |
