PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter device which can extract only an optical signal of specific wavelength transmitted in an optical waveguide and transmits optical signals of other wavelengths without discharging them. SOLUTION: The optical filter device has a collimating optical element 1 which collimates luminous flux, a dispersing element 2 which disperses light in the luminous flux 15 collimated by the collimating optical element 1 at different angles of deflection corresponding to wavelengths, a 1st total reflecting surface 32 which totally reflects light below 1st wavelength in the light dispersed by the dispersing element 2 and transmits light above it, a 1st reflecting element 5 which reflects the light totally reflected by the 1st total reflecting surface 32, a 2nd reflecting element 6 which reflects the light transmitted through the 1st total reflecting surface 32, and a 2nd total reflecting surface 32 which totally reflects light below 2nd wavelength shorter than the 1st wavelength in the light reflected by the 1st reflecting element 5 and transmits light above it.
