PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color image forming device capable of yielding an excellent color image having few color slurring components in a main scanning direction by correcting the positional deviation of dots in the main scanning direction in all the scanning areas. SOLUTION: In this color image forming device for forming the color image by using a plurality of scanning optical devices 11 to 14 and a plurality of image carriers 21 to 24, the color slurring amount in the main scanning direction is set to be small on the axis of a scanning optical system and in the height of an intermediate image.
