PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side frame connecting device of a construction machine capable of safely performing extending/contracting work of a side frame in a short time. SOLUTION: A guide means 14 for guiding the extension/contraction of the side frame 6 is arranged in a connecting part of a center frame 7 and the side frame 6. Since the guide means 14 is installed outside the center of gravity G of the side frame 6 when extending the guide frame 6 and the guide means 14 is installed inside the center of gravity G of the side frame 6 when contracting the side frame 6, work for extending the guide frame 6 at work time and contracting the side frame 6 at transport time can be performed only by installing the guide means 14 outside or inside the center of gravity G of the side frame 6 so that the extending/contracting work of the side frame 6 can be safely performed in a short time.
