PURPOSE: A process for preparing phosphate ester from reaction waste liquid containing phosphorane compound is provided to cheaply prepare phosphate ester and prevent environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing phosphate ester represented by formula (V) from reaction waste liquid containing phosphorane compound comprises the steps of: oxidizing the reaction waste liquid resulted from the production of phosphate ester comprising a mixture of compounds of formulas (I), (II) and (III) with chlorine or bromine; and adding a compound of formula (IV) into the oxidization resulting product using Lewis acid as a catalyst, wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen or C1-C12 alkyl; X is chlorine or bromine; R3 and R4 are hydrogen or C1-C12 alkyl; R5 is C2-C12 haloalkyl; R6 is C2-C12 haloalkyl; R7 is hydrogen or, C1-C10 alkyl or haloalkyl; R8 and R9 are C2-C12 alkyl; l and m are a rational number of 0 to 3 and l+m is 3.
