PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonous complex material involving a noble metal selected from Pt, Pd and Ru or its alloy and its producing method with high yield. SOLUTION: The carbonous complex material involving the noble metal or its alloy is produced as follows. (1) The carbonous complex material including the noble metal selected from Pt, Pd and Ru or its alloy in a void of 10-90% in nanoflake carbon tube or a tube of telescopic structured multi-layer carbon nanotube is heated to 600-1100 deg.C in a reaction furnace. An inert gas pressure is adjusted to 10<-5> Pa-200 kPa and oxygen concentration is adjusted to be B/A=1×10<-10> -1×10<-1> where B/A is denoted as a ratio of oxygen amount B (Ncc) to reaction furnace volume A (L), with (a) at least a kind selected from halogenated Pt, halogenated Pd and halogenated Ru or (a) and (b) at least a kind selected from halogenated Fe, halogenated Co in the reaction furnace. (2) The carbonous material is heat-treated at 600-1100 deg.C in the reaction furnace in which a pyrolytic carbon source is introduced and the inert gas pressure is adjusted to 10<-5> Pa-200 kPa. |
