PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a defective phenomenon called a ghost independent of the skill of an operator, and a device for forming side space dots in a short time. SOLUTION: In the ghost erasing method, a stage for obtaining a pattern area in each page from page data, a stage for calculating the pattern area ratio of a whole machine plate based on machine plate information of instruction information for arranging respective data on the machine plate, and a stage for forming side space dots to make a pattern area ratio in the widthwise direction of a sheet constant, are set up. In the side space dot forming device, the ghost erasing method is applied, and side space dot arrangement positions are calculated on the basis of the machine plate information. |
