PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a protective layer for a heat- sensitive recording material having no pinhole when synthetic paper, a plastic film are used for a support, and also to provide the heat-sensitive recording material having excellent preservability thereby. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the protective layer for the heat-sensitive recording material comprises the steps of incorporating a stilbene compound in a coating liquid of a protective layer for the recording material, coating the protective layer by a rod bar coating method or a blade coating method, and thickening the coating liquid by a shearing force of the rod bar or the blade. |
