PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article management system, a non-contact distinguishing method, an antenna unit and an article management shelf capable of certainly receiving a memorized information in a radio tag provided on the article without requiring a labor against the article accommodated in a shelf; and outstandingly reducing a labor, labor costs and a working time for managing the article. SOLUTION: The article management system is provided with a section for accommodating the article; the radio tag provided on the article accommodated at the section, memorizing an inherent information and capable of carrying out a communication with no contact; an antenna communicating with the radio tag with no contact; and a management means for managing the inherent information in responsive to the article based on the communication result at the antenna. A plurality of antennas are arranged in the sections and a switching means for switching the antenna for carrying out the communication action among a plurality of antennas arranged is provided. |
