PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently obtain pilfer-proof effects by preventing a pilfer-proof band cut off from a cap from being fixed to a container mouth as it is, and to secure safety for use by preventing a residue of a bridge from being formed on a side of the pilfer-proof band cut off from the cap. SOLUTION: On the metallic cap 1, a horizontal slit 16 which is formed by being sheared laterally from the outward to leave a bridge 17 is formed so that an upper part of its shear plane is offset inwardly from a lower part in the radial direction of the cap. Thus, the bridge 17 is formed above the shear plane of the horizontal slit 16. In addition, an inner diameter at an upper end of a pilfer-proof band 15 which is below the shear plane is formed to have a larger diameter than the maximum outer diameter of an annular swell 22 formed at a container mouth 2 to lock the pilfer-proof band 15.
