PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust washer having a backstop and baffle characteristic for a thrust bearing. SOLUTION: The thrust washer 12 formed of a metallic sheet has a flat, radially directed, ring-shaped thrust part 14, at least one tab 22 extended from the outer periphery and inner periphery of the thrust part. The tab includes a radially directing intermediate part 24 and at least one blade part 26 extending perpendicular to the intermediate part and parallel to the axial line of the thrust part. The flat face of the blade part is engaged with a recess of a support member to make it possible to make the thrust washer irrotational against the support member. The tab is not symmetrical to the line 28 extending along the diameter of the thrust part. |
