CONSTITUTION: The method for increasing the content of gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA) in the plant seed comprises applying physical stress to a plant seed, wherein the physical stress is applied to the plant seed by treating it with distilled water under low temperature and anaerobic condition. Alternatively, the method for increasing the content of gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA) in a plant seed comprises applying chemical stress to a plant seed, wherein chemical stress is applied to the plant seed by treating it with saline solution under low temperature and anaerobic condition.
