INK JET RECORDING SHEET AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which inexpensively and simply improves a high image preservability or particularly a gas resistance while a high glossiness of the cast-coated recording sheet is maintained, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises at least a frontmost layer coated by cast-coating on one side surface of a paper base, and a record protective layer provided by applying an ink jet recording method on the frontmost layer after an image is printed. The recording sheet further comprises a gas barrier layer formed on a rear surface side of the base by coating a coating liquid containing a resin having a film forming capability with a solvent to be set to a state of solution or a state of dispersing as a main body and by drying the liquid.
