PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plied yarn capable of affording a lightweight, stretchable and thin fabric having excellent chlorine and abrasion resistances, a flat feeling and a dry touch. SOLUTION: The plied yarn is characterized in that polyester conjugated fibers which are a side-by-side type or an eccentric sheath-core type comprising one of constituent components consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate and the other constituent component consisting essentially of polytrimethylene terephthalate are plied with polypropylene fibers.
