<p>One piece shoes consisting of at least two different thermoplastic resins are produced by (a) injecting a first resin into a first cavity of a movable die, the cavity having the shape of the shoe sole, (b) cooling the material to a rigid state, (c) moving the die with the first material towards a second fixed die to form a second cavity between the die halves, the first material forming the lower boundry of the second cavity, and the second cavity having the shape of the shoe uppers, (d) injecting a second resin into the second cavity, (e) cooling the second material to a rigid state so that the first and second materials become firmly bonded to form a one piece article, and (f) releasing the articles from the die. Gives shoes, esp. sandals, in a single, multistage process without the use of adhesive.</p> |
