<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse monitor which can stop monitoring when the pulse sensor is not in contact with the skin or is insufficiently worn. SOLUTION: This pulse monitor 1 is equipped with a drive means (drive circuit 13) to drive/stop the pulse sensor, a contact detecting means (contact detecting circuit 12) to detect whether the pulse sensor is in contact with the skin or not by the contact detecting means, and control means (CPU 11, ROM 21, etc.),to stop to drive the pulse sensor by the drive means when the contact detecting means detect the pulse sensor is not in contact with the skin.</p> |
