<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling rolling capable of executing rolling processes without deteriorating production efficiency of a rolling mill, and at the same time, capable of correcting cambers of the rolling stock already generated. SOLUTION: The method for controlling rolling is characterized in that, based on the setup conditions, the method comprises a process to estimate a maximum torque value Tmax at the time of biting the rolling stock that the upper work roll 1A and the lower work roll 1B become rolling objects, a process to compare an estimated maximum torque value Tmax with an allowable torque value Tlim , and a process to determine the number of revolutions of the upper work roll 1A and the lower work roll 1B at the time of biting the rolling stock by adjusting the conditions so that the maximum torque value Tmax is less than the allowable torque value Tlim .</p> |
