PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the load due to the expansion and contraction of a draft tube to thereby prevent the breakage of the lid or main body of a digestion tank and the leak of a gas from the tank to the outside. SOLUTION: In a sludge digestion tank 1, a draft tube 10 is installed which is supported by support legs 20 based on the underside inner wall 2 of the tank 1 and of which the upper end reaches the lid 5 of an inspection port 4. An agitator 30 is installed in the draft tube 10. An elastic seal material is placed between the upper end of the draft tube 10 and the lid 5 of the inspection port 4. The upper end of the draft tube 10 is held up-and-down movably with respect to the lid 5 of the inspection port 4.
