FISHING ROD JOINT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure for a fishing rod that can smoothen the operations of letting the rod pieces in and out and jointing them and makes the water remaining inside the rods drainable. SOLUTION: A plurality of grooves 2a are cut on the large diameter part of the bottom end of the upper-root rod piece 2 in the circumferential direction at a certain interval. These grooves 2a pass through the large diameter part in the axis direction whereby the inner side of the root rod piece 1 is made communicable to the outside. In addition, the upper-root rod piece 2 is coated in a certain range (range X) on the ear side in the axis direction with a water- repellent paint.
