PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope which has an imaging system with the outer diameter made thinner as much as possible. SOLUTION: A fillet 31 can be fixed to a glass lid 29 without interference even when the thin part 27b of a cover glass 27 is formed in a size smaller than the outline of the glass lid 29 equipped on the imaging plane 26a of a solid state imaging element 26. At that time, a part of the fillet 31 formed on the outer circumference part of the thick part 27a of the cover glass 27 is included in a projecting range of the glass lid 29. That is, the outline of the thick part 27a is formed slightly larger than the outline of the glass lid 29.
