PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery machine capable of embroidery in a wide range, using a large embroidery frame, without restrained by the size of the machine in a machine having an embroidery frame driving mechanism. SOLUTION: The embroidery machine has a machine body A having a needle moving up and down and a capturing means capturing needle thread held by the needle, an embroidery frame driving device B driving the embroidery frame D held on a carriage B2 , timing with a vertical movement of the needle in the X and Y directions, and a means to set the range of driving of an embroidery frame driving device B at a first position close to the machine body A and at a second position separated from the machine body A by a prescribed interval. In the second position, a first handle 13a and a second handle 13b provided at both ends of the embroidery frame D are alternately mounted to the carriage B2 to carry out embroidery, and then form an embroidery pattern beyond the range of embroidery driving.
