A resilient locking plate (5) used to hold a piece of cable ducting inside the tube (3) has a second end section cooperating with an opening (11) in the tube side wall. The opening has a ramp (12) next to the tube mouth and the second end section is designed to be slid over this ramp. The sides of the locking plate have wings which can be slid axially into grooves on the inside of the tube, so that pulling the ducting out of the tube will cause the locking plate to move initially in an axial direction, due to the sharp edge of the plate at its first end being in contact with the inside of the tube, whilst the second end section of the locking plate will be pushed through the opening and up the ramp, resulting in the rotation of the locking plate. This rotation increases the pressure of the sharp edge of the locking plate against the outside of the cable duct. The tube has a substantially straight shape, a round cross-section and an internal diameter slightly greater than the external diameter of the cable ducting. Grooves extend along the inside of the tube in its length direction. |
