PROCESSING CONTROL METHOD FOR HARDLY DECOMPOSABLE SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing control method for a hardly decomposable substance using a hardly decomposable substance detecting and quantitatively determining apparatus, by which the removal state of hardly decomposable substances can be surely monitored even when a part of low molecular organic halogenated compounds permeates through a membrane and when a permeate has a large conductivity, and by which overdosage of an oxidizing agent and excess UV irradiation can be prevented during an oxidative decomposition treatment. SOLUTION: This hardly decomposable substance detecting and quantitatively determining apparatus comprises a transfer means for transferring volatile hardly decomposable substances from a liquid phase to a gas phase, a concentration means for concentrating the volatile hardly decomposable substances transferred to the gas phase, and a detection and quantitative determination means for detecting and quantitatively determining the concentrated volatile hardly decomposable substances by using an electron capture detector (ECD) and/or a flame ionization detector (FID). The hardly decomposable substances in water to be treated is detected and quantitatively determined by using the detecting and quantitatively determining apparatus, and a process for decomposing and removing the hardly decomposable substances in the water to be treated is controlled based on the data determined by the apparatus.
