PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make hardening treatment possible in casting so that casting work inclusive of heat treatment operation can be conducted efficiently. SOLUTION: In the reduction casting method, wherein a molten metal 18 is poured into a cavity 12 of a mold 11, and the molten metal 18 and a reductive compound are brought into contact to conduct casting while reducing a oxide film formed on the surface of the molten metal, the molten metal 18 is poured into the cavity 12 under the condition that the mold 11 is forcibly cooled by a cooling means 13, the molten metal 18 is cooled, and the molten metal 12 is solidified in a super-saturated state to carry out the casting. As a solidification speed of the molten metal 18, 400 ( deg.C/min) or higher is agreeable.
