PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing system and a sewing method for a work which can eliminate hand works, and at the same time, can stabilize the quality and increase the productivity in a sewing process wherein a fabric material is formed into a three-dimensional shape when the work of a semi-bag shape, which is a part of a product, is formed. SOLUTION: This sewing system 10 forms the work which is a three- dimensional article. The sewing system 10 is equipped with a sewing machine body 11 equipped with a sewing needle 11a, a table 12 on which the fabric material is set, and a fixing means 13 for the fabric material, which is provided on the table 12. A section 13b which is located at the sewing place of the fabric material of the fixing means 13 is formed into a shape which goes along the shape of stitches to sew the fabric material.
