PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture granules with a particle size optimum as a phosphorus recovery material in a good yield. SOLUTION: In the method for granulating the phosphorus recovery material wherein a raw material powder prepared by mixing a powder comprising a siliceous material and a powder comprising a calciferous material is continuously supplied into a pan 11 rotated around an inclined rotary shaft H while water is continuously sprinkled over the raw material powder tumbled within the pan 11 to granulate the raw material powder using particles of water as nuclei while tumbling them, the angleθof inclination of the pan 11 is set to 40-50 deg. and the rotational speed V of the pan 11 is set to a value calculated according to the formula: V=(20±3 rpm).D when the diameter of the pan 11 is set to D (m).
