PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire supplying device for a heading forming machine capable of surely supplying the wire to a cutter through a through-hole of a quill even in the case where an inner diameter of the through-hole of the quill is approximately the same as an outer diameter of the wire or smaller than it, thereby enabling to secure a satisfactory cross-sectional face of the wire. SOLUTION: The tip of the wire X which is supplied to the quill 9 by passing through a guide pipe 8 movable reciprocally is cut by a cutter 51 to be supplied to a forming part, a gripper 20 is mounted to the tip of the pipe 8 so as to position between the tip of the guide pipe 8 and the quill 9, and by a driving mechanism 11 for reciprocally moving the guide pipe 8, the cylinder 20 is operated by a cylinder 31 so that when the guide pipe 8 moves in the wire supplying direction, the wire X is grasped, and when the guide pipe 8 moves in the reverse wire supplying direction, the wire is released.
