Alternatively, this coating method of magnesium alloy formed body features that the coating material which uses water and and/or organic solvent as a medium is applied and is dried/hardened and, thereafter, the organic coating film is formed especially without taking the trouble to form the magnesium alloy by means of any one method of injection, casting, forging and pressing, thereafter, to subject the formed magnesium alloy to surface grinding working and to substancially subject the same to chemical conversion treatment.
