PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean a bag filter on the site without detaching it to be fitted directly to solve the problem that, although a bag filter has been cleaned by reverse jetting so far, dust is sometimes fitted and left so that the dust filter has to be detached to be carried off. SOLUTION: In a dust collector in which a housing is divided into an upper part and an lower part by a thimble plate, the lower part is made a dust- containing air chamber, the upper part is made a cleaned air chamber, lots of bottomed bag filters 10 are hung from the thimble plate, and dust-containing air introduced into the dust-containing air chamber is filtered with the bag filters 10 and discharged through the cleaned air chamber, a mechanism for drawing out the bag filters 10 above the thimble plate and a peeling means 22 for scraping off dust adherent to the bag filters 10 are provided, and the adherent dust is peeled off by the peeling means 22 while the bag filters 10 are drawn up.
