PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a presser foot holder and a embroidery presser foot attachable to and detachable from a needle bar by one-touch operation and simply operable. SOLUTION: The attachment and detachment device has a presser foot button 8 springingly supported so as to make an engaged pawl 4 always project, and moving, interlocking with the engaged pawl 4, and a mounting portion 2 inserted and fixed near the lower end of a needle bar 1 is provided. A detachable portion 12 in which an engagement pawl 14 engaging with the engaged pawl 4 is provided in the upper portion of a presser foot holder 10 or an embroidery presser foot 11 and the needle bar 1 of a sewing machine are provided.
