PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple smoking system, surely starting the smoking, capable of setting time to start the smoking at 10-30 sec, and moderating the rapid pressure increase in a cylinder body after the start of the smoking so as to always make >=70% vaporization rate of the insecticidal component. SOLUTION: This smoking insecticide is provided by housing a smoking insecticide bag containing a sealed powdery insecticide composition containing 2-20 wt.% insecticidal component, 75-97 wt.% diazocarbonamide as an organic foaming agent and 1-5 wt.% of one kind or two kinds selected from zinc oxide and zinc carbonate in a synthetic film bag, and a heat-generating substance by adding water below it in a layered state in a cylinder body, fitting a lid body fixed by engaging it at the outside surface of the upper circumferential wall capable of moving by 0-2 cm distance and installing a push-stopping member for the smoking insecticide bag between the smoking insecticide bag and the lid body, and the method for smoking by using the same is also provided.
