A car seat and a quick mounting mechanism for mounting a seat releasably onto a vehicle. The mechanism comprises first and second mounting means (3, 4) for releasably mounting the seat onto counterparts (5a, 5b) provided in the vehicle. The first mounting means (3) are fastened immovably to one end of the lever device (6), so that when the lever device (6) is rotated the first mounting means (3) pivot from the locked position to the open position and vice versa. The mechanism further comprises a force element (8), which is located between the frame (1) and the mechanism so that it locks the first mounting means (3) into a locked position. |
