PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of developing an excellent leakproof function having strong directionality against excreted urine or urine leaked from an auxiliary pad without damaging the function of a liquid absorbing region. SOLUTION: The disposable diaper comprises a liquid permeable top sheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet and the absorber arranged between both sheets and has side flap parts formed by extending one of or both of the top sheet and the back sheet outwardly from the side edges of the absorber. A pair of leakproof walls preventing the leak of excretions are provided on the upper surface of the absorber, to which the top sheet is arranged, at a predetermined interval and comprise strip-like liquid impermeable sheets having a predetermined width. One side end of each of the leakproof walls is formed as a fixed end fixed on the surface of the absorber and the other side end thereof is formed as a free end. A part of the upper surface of the absorber on the side of the side flap parts of the fixed ends becomes a liquid absorbing region in the vicinity of the fixed ends.
