METHODS TO DISCRIMINATE SITTING POSTURE AND FATIGUE ON VEHICLE SEAT AND POSTURE/FATIGUE ALARM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alarm a sitting person and recommend a right posture by detecting sitting on a seat, a sitting posture, a posture deviated from the posture suitable for the seat. SOLUTION: Variations of static capacities between a common electrode 20 in the vicinity of an objective vehicle seat and a spine detecting electrode group 12 set on a spine contact area on the seat back comprising detecting electrodes 12-1, 12-2 and a hip detecting electrode group 13 set on the hip contact area on the seat cushion comprising detecting electrodes 13-3, 13-4 are converted to detection voltages E1, E2, E3, E4 to be outputted values to detect and monitor a condition. The values outputted by the detecting electrodes are compared to prescribed detecting values K (K1, K2, K3, K4), Ks (Ks1, Ks2, Ks3, Ks4) to discriminate sitting or not, the sitting posture, and fatigue. If the outputted values E1, E2, E3, E4 do not satisfy a prescribed condition, an alarm and a recommendation therefore are displayed by letters on a display 42.
