PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cone-type mixing and drying apparatus wherein materials to be treated can reach vortex breakers without driving at a high-speed of the revolution of rotors, a small amount of the materials can sufficiently circulate the materials, and the particles of the materials are not crushed. SOLUTION: In the apparatus carrying out either one of mixing, crushing and drying, or a plurality of them, of the materials W to be treated while it is repeated that the materials W to be treated in a treating vessel 1 are raised along the inner wall of the treating vessel 1 by the rotors 5 equipped in the inverted cone-type treating vessel 1 and that the raised materials are transferred to the near center of the treating vessel 1 by the vortex breaker 6 and that the materials are made to fall into the bottom again, the apparatus is characterized in that the above vortex breakers 6 are installed at places having a plurality of heights in the treating vessel 1.
