PURPOSE:To efficiently remove or shield a noise signal by setting up the holding time of an intermittently outputted processing signal more than time which is not extended up to an angular frequency band less than the angular frequency of the noise signal in the case of intermittently outputting a processing signal such as a high frequency current and a laser beam to be a noise signal for a solid state image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:In this image pickup device having the solid state image pickup element 14 and using a processing device 24 for intermittently outputting a processing signal to be a noise signal for the element 14, the processing device 24 intermittently outputs a processing signal with holding time tau satisfying tau>=7pi/omega0 when the angular frequency of a processing signal is omega0 and the holding time of the intermittently outputted processing signal is tau and a trap circuit for removing an angular frequency component around the angular frequency from a picture signal outputted from the element 14 or an electromagnetic shielding layer for shielding a processing signal with angular frequency more than the angular frequency omega0 is formed on the tip of an inserting part of an endoscope or its peripheral circuit. |
