DEVICE FOR ARRANGING OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A device for arranging an optical fiber is provided to improve the accuracy of optical fiber arrangement by using a cylindrical ferrule having a hollow at its center. CONSTITUTION: A filler(4) is filled in a cylinder(1) having a hollow at its center, a space between the cylinders(1), and a space between the cylinder(1) and a structure in an optical fiber arrangement device(8) of a two-dimensional 1xN or three-dimensional NxM type. The structure encloses the whole cylinders(1) and defines the shape of the optical fiber arrangement device(8). A flat spacer is provided between the cylinders(1) to adjust a center distance between cylinders(1). In order to adjust the center distance, an outer surface of the cylinder(1) is modified. The space between the cylinder(1) and the structure is filled with a material that is a liquid state or becomes solid.
