LEVULINIC ACID PRODUCTION PROCESS

摘要

FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: improved process of levulinic acid production consists in hydrolysis of wood waste with concentrated hydrochloric acid at atmosphere pressure and ambient temperature with stirring followed by isolation of product, said wood waste being cedar wood sawdust preliminary broken up to size between 0.5 and 2 mm. EFFECT: avoided environmental unsafety and enabled mild process conditions.
