PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF OSTEOPOROSIS, CONTAINING CHLORELLA AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical preparation for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis is provided which contains chlorella as an active ingredient, thereby increasing bone mineral density. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical preparation for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis contains chlorella as an active ingredient, wherein the chlorella is prepared by the steps of: collecting chlorella from a reservoir; culturing it in a chlorella growth medium under conditions of temperature of 26 to 32deg. C, aeration rate of 0.3 to 1.0 vvm, number of rotation of 200 to 500 rpm and pH 6.5 to 7.5; centrifuging the cultured medium; washing the centrifuged chlorella with water; cooling the chlorella to 5 to 7deg. C and sterilizing it; and spray-drying the chlorella. The pharmaceutical preparation is formulated into a form of a tablet, capsule or granule.
