METHOD FOR CONNECTING TELEPHONE USING INTERNET ADDRESS AND SYSTEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for connecting telephone using an Internet address and a system thereof are provided to easily dial a telephone number by using the Internet address easily memorable. CONSTITUTION: A web server(6) is connected to the Internet(4), having a peculiar Internet address. A telephone terminal(1) is connectable to the Internet(4). A switching center(2) connects the telephone terminal(1) to the other subscriber system and the Internet(4). The switching center(4) receives an Internet address of the web server(6) to be dialed from the telephone terminal(1) for automatically dialing a telephone number corresponding to the Internet address. A gateway(3) connects the switching center(2) to the Internet(4). A DNS(Domain Name Server)(5) stores telephone numbers registered correspondingly to the Internet addresses of the web servers connected to the Internet. The DNS(5) provides the retrieved telephone number to the switching center(2) in response to an inquiry of the switching center(2).
