FIELD: detergents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detergent agents used for metallic surface cleansing. The indicated detergent agent comprises a non-ionogenic and/or an anionic surface-active substance, chelating agent and activator of detergent effect taken in the following ratio: chelating agent : surface-active substance : activator = (0.41-1.09) : (0.11-0.40) : 1, respectively. Detergent can be used for removal of contaminants from article surface in assembly manufacture and for preparing surface before application of paint and varnish covers in automobile industry.
