PURPOSE: A filter resonator, a filter design method, and a filter manufactured by the filter design method are provided to prevent interference in a mobile communication system by reducing intermodulation distortion signals generated from the filter. CONSTITUTION: A coaxial cavity resonator to be used for a filter so as to reduce intermodulation distortion signals, has an inner diameter and an outer diameter. The ratio of the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the resonator is substantially larger than 1:3, or equal to or smaller than 1:3.75. The resonator has a length ofλ/4, whereinλis the wavelength of the plane wave being applied to the resonator.
