PURPOSE: A capacity reconfigurable motor for a compressor is provided to improve the efficiency and torque of the motor by forming a power terminal of the motor with a six-wire type. CONSTITUTION: A power unit(100) is comprised of first to sixth windings in order to supply a driving power to a motor. Switching units(200,300) selectively supply the power supplied through the power unit(100) to the motor to be rotated in a normal direction and in a reverse direction. A micro computer outputs a control signal to the switching units(200,300) so that the motor rotates in a normal direction and in a reverse direction according to a predetermined control mode. The first switching unit(200) is closed when the motor rotates in a normal direction and opened when the motor rotates in a reverse direction. The second switching unit(300) is closed when the motor rotates in a reverse direction and opened when the motor rotates in a normal direction.
