PURPOSE: A system for providing real-time traffic information is provided to uniformly assign a unique number for distinguishing a crossroads of a main road, an importance building and facilities to various kinds of maps, and to easily use traffic information contents by inputting a position number of a departure and an arrival position through a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A map book(10) includes the unique number of the facilities such as the main road, the crossroads and the building. An operator server(30) connects to a user terminal(20) through a wire/wireless network(40) and includes an algorithm for searching and outputting the corresponding service by recognizing the unique number of the map book(10). The operator server(30) receives the unique number of the departure and the arrival position, and selectively transmits the traffic information, the moving path information and the mass-transportation information between the departure and the arrival position according to a selection of a service code.
