RETRACTABLE SUPPORT ELEMENT

A retractable support element (1), requiring little installation room is disclosed. A slider (12) for coupling an inner element (6) with the outer housing (3) in the support element (1), is positioned laterally in a housing (2), arranged in the cylinder head (5). A drilling (8) is also provided in t he inner element (6) for the slider (12) as a mere blind drilling, whereby the housing (2) fits directly in a drilling (9) in the outer housing (3) by mean s of a collar (11). The slider (12) can be displaced electromagnetically or hydraulically in at least one direction.
