摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record gradations by changing the number of ink drops to be discharged for forming one pixel in accordance with image density information, thereby changing a size of the pixel, and carry out high-image quality and high-gradation recording. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording head 23, a pulse signal is inputted to a heater to generate bubbles to ink in a liquid channel, and at the same time an ink drop 24 is discharged from an ink discharge opening by a working force caused by swelling of the bubbles. One to a plurality of ink drops 24 are adhered to an almost equal point on a body 25 to be recorded, thereby forming one pixel 26. Moreover, the number of ink drops 24 to be adhered to the almost equal point is changed in accordance with the image density information to change the size of the pixel 26. The ink discharge opening is formed into a size so that ink drops 24 of an amount preventing adjacent pixels 26 from overlapping are discharged when one pixel 26 is formed by one ink drop 24.
