PURPOSE: A transmission apparatus for power line communication is provided to reduce parts and simplify construction by deciding frequency of a carrier wave generator by a period alternately turning on and off a plurality of transistors. CONSTITUTION: A signal input part(70) inputs a signal to be transmitted through a common power line. A carrier wave generator(60) generates carrier waves and frequency of which the carrier waves is decided by a plurality of switching elements to transmit the signal through the common power line. A power supply part(30) is connected to the common power line for supplying power source to the carrier wave generator(60) and transmits the carrier waves modulated by the signal input to the signal input part(70) to the common power line. A converter(50) appropriately converts power source and the modulated signal to be transmitted between the power supply part(30) and the carrier wave generator(60).
