PURPOSE: An apparatus for exercising a whole body is provided to give an exercising effect of arms, legs and waist by moving pedal linked with a long chain. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for exercising a whole body includes a main body(100), a chain(110), a wheel(120), a shaft(140) and a pedal(150) with a combined use as a grip. The chain(110) which links directly with the pedal(150) moves up and down as a rectilinear motion. A friction occurring part(180) locates on the top of the main body(100) and gives the chain(110) a frictional force. A support plate(190) locates on the bottom side of the main body(100). The shaft(140) links with the chain(110) and has a hinge part(160) connected with the pedal(150) with a combined use as a grip.
