FIELD: ammunition for rifled and plain-barrel fire-arms. SUBSTANCE: this ammunition can also be used in existing systems of small arms, in small and medium caliber artillery systems without any substantial change of their breech pieces. Multipurpose ammunition includes bottom part, head part and case which are not separable during shooting. It also has capsule tube installed in bottom part, near annular groove, and fitted with ribs which are intended for its centering and fixing to prevent axial movement inside case. Creased flange of bottom part functions as obturator. Edges of bottom part of case are reduced around rear edge of capsule tube to form corrugations. Case bursts out from side of bottom part by straightening of corrugations. Thickness of wall of bottom part of case diminishes from annular groove to rear edge. Technical result of invention lies in improved combat characteristics, namely, in extended range of projectile flight along flat trajectory, in increased target hitting accuracy and stability in flight, in enhanced piercing and killing power, in decreased potential to ricochet.
