PURPOSE: A firing processed wood having the high quality and the high density and a preparation method thereof are provided. The wood has a merit that the manufacturing process is simple, the yield is high and the dimensional stability is excellent. CONSTITUTION: The firing processed high density wood is characterized in that it is prepared by humidity control treating a wood to be processed to have a moisture content state near a fiber saturation point(25% to 30%), thermal compressing the humidity control treated wood by the hot press of 90 to 180 deg.C to have a pressure of 0.05 to 1.5 kg.f/mm2, standing as it is, separating, cooling spontaneously, and then humidity controlling to the existed state. |
